Bird photography is a growing pass time for the many urban professionals like me in Singapore and the other parts of Southeast Asia. Many rare bird sightings or photos were recorded by these weekend birders. Perhaps there were more species of bird then but birding in Singapore today is still very challenging with half of the 350 officially recorded species are either uncommon, rare or vagrant. One will be spoilt for choice in both the food and bird species. The national parks here are well managed and easily accessible. It is my favorite country to bird watching. Birds of Malaysia When the new birders of Singapore have become familiar with the local birds, across the causeway north of the Island is usually their next venue of birding adventure. Some of the species that have become extinct in Singapore can be found here in abundance.
